Less is more.

When it comes to makeup, I try to stick to a "less is more" mentality.  I don't like to throw on a ton of foundation, and I like to keep things simple.

-My bareMinerals foundation is the best thing to have happened to me since I've started using makeup.  It never looks cakey, and evens out my complexion without overdoing it.
-I always prep my skin with Benefit's the POREfessional. I've tried a lot of primers, and this one has definitely worked the best.  It minimizes pores and makes your foundation look fresh and matte all day.  Awesome product.
-Clinique's Airbrush Concealer is the best underye concealer I have ever used. I am blessed with a never-fading blue coloring under my eyes, and this stuff covers it and brightens the inner corners of my eyes as well.
-I use a variety of mascaras, but my favorite of the moment is Covergirl's lashblast volume mascara.  Seperates and boost lashes, while staying put all day.
-I have used Clinique's eyeliners forever.  They are super easy to put on, and their quickliner for eyes goes on quick but doesn't smudge.  Perfect for when I'm running late in the morning.  I have always preferred brown eyeliner for day, it defines without looking harsh.

-As anyone that has used Urban Decay's Naked Products will tell you, these palettes become a fast favorite.  I own both the Naked and Naked2 palettes, so I jumped on this little one as soon as I could.  The matte shades work really well with my pale skin and look gorgeous.

-I got a sample of the Balm's MaryLouManizer in my BirchBox a couple month's ago and it has become a fast favorite.  It works as a highlighter and eyeshadow, and works wonders on brightening up my eye area.  I've just recently been opened up to the world of highlighters, and this one is definitely my favorite one I've tried.

I hope everyone's weekend is ending wonderfully! :) Here's to a new week with lot's of great new possibilities!

Squirrel Socks!

I have a thing for squirrels.  So much so that I am getting dangerously close to crazy lady territory.  For Christmas, my friends and family bought me a squirrel calendar, squirrel figurines, and the COOLEST socks ever:

They look super cute with boots because you can't see the pattern when they are on. So even if I'm venturing into crazy-squirrel-lady territory, I haven't quite gotten there yet.

Outfit of the day: Green sweater, denim, and boots

One of my current obsessions is this denim shirt.  I wear it with everything, and I recently saw a post on Pinterest that featured a forest green sweater with it underneath. I jumped on it, naturally.

The original called for chunkier accessories, but that's not the kind of girl I am.  I'm only 5'2", chunky necklaces and bracelets look like they weigh me down 90% of the time.

I also love pairing red lips with green clothing, the opposing colors look fab together.

Isn't my roommate's dog, Truman, adorable?  He liked the boots.

Happy Monday!

My love affair with burgundy jeans.

Seriously, how fabulous are these pants?

I've seen so many outfits lately with these deep red pants, and I had been looking for a pair for quite a while before I found these for $15 at The Limited on sale.  You can find a similar pair here.

I've gone a little nuts with these pants. I've worn them with tan, navy, white, and chambray since I bought them last month. Can't wait to try new pairings with them!
