My Travel Must Haves

I have been doing a lot of travel for work this year, and I've discovered a couple things that I have kept in my travel bag that have made my life loads easier while on these adventures.  Packing doesn't have to be stressful! I'm here to make your life much easier. :)

Makeup:

Face:

The first thing I always throw into my makeup bag when I travel is what I need for a solid complexion while I'm away.  I usually don't check my personal bag when I fly, so I don't like packing liquid foundations because they take up too much space in my ziploc bag for the TSA checkpoint.

I love bareMinerals foundation, it is the perfect amount of coverage without being super heavy.  When I saw that they came out with this palette, I was so excited! It has everything that I would bring with me for my face, and it comes in great packaging.  The palette includes the foundation, touch-up veil and concealer along with an awesome bronzer and luminzer.  My job involves long days where I am talking to people the whole time, I want to make sure my makeup stays and will look fresh throughout all of it.  I found this to be the case with all of the makeup from this palette.

Eyes:

I'm a Birchbox subscriber, so I love saving some of my samples for traveling.  I got this Eyeko mascara in my September box, and I LOVE it.  It curls and volumizes lashes without flaking or budging all day. Awesome stuff.  It's also the perfect travel-sized mascara.

What I love most about Maybelline's Color Tattoo eyeshadow is that it is super easy to apply.  Not only does it not budge all day, but the color is flattering and is easy to wear on it's own if you're in a hurry or trying to minimize what you bring with you when you travel.

Lips:

When traveling, I find it is easiest to bring lipsticks that are going to go on quickly without much fuss.  These two are perfect for this.  I can throw them in my laptop bag to touch-up during the day, and they both deliver a great, lasting color.  Plus, the Soap & Glory stick smells like vanilla. Heavenly.

Skincare:

Travel-sized skincare items are your best friend.  I bought the cleanser I bring with me when I travel in the travel-sized section at Target, and I think I might buy the full size when I'm out of my cleanser because I love it so much.  You never know what you'll find!  The other place to try is Sephora, they always have well-known products in small sizes at the checkout, I bought the tiny Benefit eye cream there and love using it on long plane rides or whenever my eyes are feeling tired. The moisturizer is another Birchbox find.
